In nowadays Prague exist thousands of restaurants.  They are big and small companies, fast food and restaurants with unique atmosphere and interior.

Which kind of restaurant can we put "Braunův sklep" to? Historical spirit, which is every stone in Prague full is rising to this cosy cellar everywhere. Building is old far away 300 years, it remembers The New Town Hall on the corner of the Charles square.  It remembers the time, when so-called marble tables, which stood in yard, on them people paid with goods for goods in presence of the superior market.

On 29 August 1714 the house was bought by Matyas Bernard Braun, in yard he created beautiful garden and on marble tables appeared amazing statues.
This composition of statues spreaded out  to many towns in the Czech republic and later they became pearls of galleries and collections.

Don’t miss the point and go over the doorstep of this historical house and you will move into calm atmosphere of the Czech republic of the beginning of 18th centrury, where as usual govern atmosphere of friendly amusement and domestic comfort. Old czech kinds of beer, sweet-smelling liquors, substantial meat rolls – the best place to relax and to satisfy a hunger you will not find.

Here you can spend pleasure evening with a glass of beer and to have lunch during your work. Our chief cook tries to suprise costumers. Sometimes our culinary expert on traditions gives master courses and during them he talks with everybody who ordered the speciality.

In our restaurant you can let us to manage for you an event or for example wedding anniversary, business meeting or conference. We can offer you a special VIP room for 30 people, decorated in baroque style.

Restaurant's visitors will never get bored: here we create various events and during them you can get special bonus, from glass of beer for free to discount cards. Concert of masters of music genres takes place every Friday and Saturday.

Our main beer tradition is a personal glass – every customer will have it, only in a case he has ordered more than 100 beers during the year.  This glass will be saved in a special closet and its owner will get special personal certificate and discount card.

The start of restaurant we count from 29 August 1714, when Matyas Bernard Braun has bought this house. On this day every costumer get third glass of beer for free.
